Newcomers to Math 2

You should receive the course syllabus tomorrow in class.  You and your parents need to read through it.  The last page must be filled out and brought back.  You need to make up all assignments and the quiz that you have missed.  Tomorrow (Thursday) you will receive the packet of work that you missed.  You must make it up over the weekend and hand in on Monday along with the regular assignment for Friday.  The makeup quiz is tomorrow after school.  Since several of you just came to the class you can also make up the quiz after school on Tuesday or Wednesday (August 30 or 31).  You will have 30 minutes to take the quiz so plan your ride accordingly. 

The assignments over complex numbers should already be graded unless you are new to Wheeler.  Most of you came from Math 2 with support and I took grades already for those of you who had the assignments.  Test for Complex numbers (MM2N1 5% of grade) is Friday (Aug 26) for EVERYONE in the class.

Alright Math 3 Students...

You need to become a member to the website to use this graphing calculator but it will find the local max and mins with a click of a button.

you need the ADVANCED graphing calculator.  You will still need to know how to use the graphing calculators for the test!!

Welcome Parents and Students

This semester I will be teaching Math 2 (in one semester) and Math 3 Core Support.  Both classes REQUIRE that the students have a        TI-30X IIS or similar calculator.  The calculator will allow them to complete assignments at school and at home so they can be successful in the class.  This type of calculator is also the type allowed to be used for the EOCT and GHGST. 

Math 3 second semester will need a GRAPHING calculator to complete homework.  The suggested calculators for graphing are TI-82, TI-83, TI-83plus or TI-84.  If your child gets a different graphing calculator then the suggested please make sure that they keep the handbook so they can figure out on their own how to do the required math with their calculator.
