Today we described two works of art in Spanish, completed a communicative activity expression opinions, completed listening activity 10, and wrote out the first part of activity 14 on text page 166. We will finish the activity tomorrow morning, review, and then take our chapter 6.1 quiz.

Students read about Salvador Dali and Joan Miro. We looked at some of their art and answered questions in writing. This needs to be made up. We also went over workbook page 46-47, continued with the vocabulary, introducing and changing topics of communication, and worked on the new subjunctive triggers. If absent, please make up the listening pg. 163-164 activties 8 & 10.

Students completed a vocabulary warm-up, played verb conjugation tic tac toe, went over their homework, completed workbook page 43-43, played charades, and began their homework.

Students edited their paragraphs from yesterday's warm-ups, played a game of charades to review vocabulary, took the 5.1 quiz, and read/acted out a legend in Spanish. Students should complete activity 15 from textbook page 138 as homework.

There are only three quizzes and one test left for this semester. (5.2 quiz, 6.1 &6.2 quiz, and Ch 5 exam. The chapter 6 exam will be wrapped into the final)
Final exam format: multiple choice
Students completed a timed writing to share what they did over the vaction. We will continue with a few of these presentations throughout the week. We reviewed the 5.1 vocabulary, played a vocbulary paired practice game, completed activity 8 in our textbook (using a student drawn venn diagram), and completed activity 1,2, and 3 from textbook page 148 as review for the 5.1 quiz.

Students completed an oral question/answer line-up to express agreement, partial agreement, and disagreement. We then went corrected the homework and learned the new grammar concept: the impersonal se. Students completed workbook page 38 to demonstrate understanding of the new concept and then began the second half of the Primer paso vocabulary. They learned how to report what others think and say. Each used the vocabulary to create a rumor that other students responded to in agreement, partial agreement, or disagreement.

April 14th: 5.1 quiz towards the end of the period. (vocabulary and impersonal se)
Today students completed a warm-up about the story we read yesterday. Then they practiced telling the story in groups and presented the story to the class. We began the chapter 5 vocabulary by categorizing the expressions used to convey agreement, partial agreement, and disagreement. Then the students completed listening activity 6 and writing activity 7 to demonstrate they understood the new vocabulary. Tomorrow we will continue with this theme, but also add the impersonal se.
