9th-The Five Genres for this Course

We will study each genre for about three weeks.

Formal Writing vs. infomal writng
Formal writing includes all writing done for a grade. Responding to the class BLOG and emailing the teacher should always be done in a student's best formal writing. Formal writing is used for all college prep. assignments and counts as part of the graded assignment.
Class Syllabus
The class syllabus is given to students the first day of class. Students are to have parents read and sign the class syllabus and then return it to the teacher.
