Parents- Encourage Reading at home

Reading, both orally and silently, enables one to become a better reader.Comprehension skills are developed through questioning strategies. Parents, ask your child what they are reading (Title), who are the characters, where does the story takes place ( setting),  what's happening (plot) , how does the story end (conclusion), how does the story make you feel (mood), and what message did you learn (theme). These skills can also be developed by watching TV or movies.
