This week we are taking notes for the comparison/contrast paper. It will be a 5-paragraph persuasive paper comparing The movie The Scarlet Letter to the novel The Scarlet Letter. You will use MLA guidelines with quotes from the novel and a work cited page listing the text as your primary source. The quotes will be indirect rather than direct, because the focus of the paper is content-centered, not character-centered. Use one quote per body paragraph (3 quotes total).
Writing guidelines can be found at this website:
under the MLA Formatting and style guide. You will log into the website www.turnitin.com to submit your final copy by 11:59 p.m. on March 19th.
I will give you the class password and ID in class on the 13th.

Leave nothing in your car or Limo; you may not re-enter the Fox Theatre once you leave. In other words and to put it quite bluntly, no roaming in and out to vehicles for any reason. When you leave, you may not come back into the Fox.
We want you to have fun, but no alcohol or controlled substances are allowed, obviously. If we suspect the use of such, police will be on site and parents will be notified immediately. Believe it or not, we care about each and every one of you and we do not want to lose you or anyone else in a horrific drunk driving crash.
