HELLO from Mr. Clayton!

Welcome to my web site!

I teach Honors World Geography and Pre AP Social Studies at Joseph Wheeler High School.  I am very proud to inform you that I graduated from WHS in 1977, and I also attended East Cobb Middle (at that time called Junior High) School and Sedalia Park Elementary School.  I earned my A.S. and B.S. degrees from Kennesaw College (now Kennesaw State University), and my M.Ed. and Ed.S. degrees from Georgia State University. 

I have been teaching social studies for twenty-seven years for the Cobb County School District.  I started teaching at Lindley Middle School.  I also taught at Pine Mountain Middle School and John McEachern High School before coming to Wheeler in 2001.

In addition to teaching, I have the following responsibilities:  Chairman, Social Studies Department; Lead Teacher, Advanced Learning Program; Co-sponsor, Social Studies Honors Society; and Co-sponsor, Leadership Club.
